It was so popular in the Autumn we are continuing into 2019!
Dave has taught Street Dance session at SpArC before to Primary and Secondary age young people and he has an overwhelmingly positive effect . His session enable participants to be creative, challenged, physical, while having loads of fun!
“Alf did the Easter Dance day with Dave and he absolutely loved it, so we decided to also do the lessons. It was a little out of his comfort zone, but I’m chuffed we did it because he can’t wait to go. The dance classes have really brought his confidence on by mixing and working together with other children from outlying schools of different ages, through developing new dance moves and working to the end goal of a dance routine. Alf isn’t massively sporty, but he has really taken to dance, and if there is an opportunity to progress this through additional sessions he will definitely be attending. He practices in the week and comes out buzzing after each session. The classes are a real asset to the community.” Becky Hares Parent
“”Maidwell Primary School is an Outstanding School and we have worked alongside Dave for many years in order to provide depth and engagement. The remit is always to develop a cross-curricular theme and we have worked on projects as diverse as Slavery to Exploration to Street Dance/Culture. The experience is always extremely rewarding and the boys in particular respond to Dave as a ‘cool’ role model. The work culminates in a school performance which is shared with the parents. The response has always been overwhelmingly enthusiastic with parents left reeling at their children’s confidence, creativity and stamina. Want boys to dance? Employ Dave. Want girls to dance? Do the same.” Rosemarie James, Head teacher, Maidwell Primary School.
“It was so good in fact we did I for our assembly Mr Barker our Head teacher and our parents thought it was so incredible we had to repeat it” Bishops Castle Primary Students
All of the children’s flexibility and strength improved and they liked learning the challenging moves that Dave taught them” Lydbury North Primary
“My Favouite bit was the ‘table top it’s Fantastic” “I really enjoyed learning how to Cannon” “ I liked learning Break dancing” “Floor Work” “Freestyle” Bishop’s Castle Primary Students
